Return & Refund Policy

VehicleCharger.co.in is a B2B/B2C marketplace that connects verified sellers with buyers. All returns and refunds are processed in accordance with this policy and applicable provisions of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

1. Overview

VehicleCharger.co.in operates as an online marketplace platform. The products listed on the platform are sold by verified third-party sellers ("Sellers"). VehicleCharger.co.in facilitates the transaction and, where applicable, mediates disputes between buyers and sellers.

All products listed on VehicleCharger.co.in are guaranteed to be brand-new, unused, and unopened. Sellers are contractually obligated to list only new products. This policy sets out the circumstances under which returns and refunds may be claimed.

2. Return Eligibility

You may request a return within 7 days of delivery if your order falls under any of the following categories:

  • Dead on Arrival (DOA): The product does not power on or function at all upon first use despite correct installation.
  • Wrong Product Delivered: The product received is different from what was ordered (wrong model, wrong power rating, wrong connector type).
  • Manufacturing Defect: The product has a visible or functional defect attributable to the manufacturer that renders it unusable.
  • Damaged in Transit: The product arrived with physical damage caused during shipping (see Section 7 for the inspection procedure).
  • Material Mismatch with Listing: The product's key specifications (wattage, input/output voltage, connector standard) materially differ from what was advertised on the product listing.

For manufacturing defects discovered after the 7-day window, please refer to the product's manufacturer warranty, which is separate from this return policy.

3. Non-Returnable Items & Situations

Returns will not be accepted in the following circumstances:

  • Change of mind — Returns due to a buyer's change of mind or ordering error are not accepted on products that have been opened or used.
  • Installed products — Once a charger has been hardwired or mounted and connected to an electrical supply, it is considered installed and is not eligible for return unless it is Dead on Arrival.
  • Tampered serial numbers — Products with removed, altered, or damaged serial number stickers or manufacturer seals.
  • Missing original packaging — Returns where the original manufacturer's box, accessories, documentation, or warranty card are missing.
  • Buyer-induced damage — Physical damage caused by incorrect installation, power surges, water ingress, or use outside the product's rated specifications.
  • Cosmetic damage only — Minor scratches or dents on non-functional surfaces that do not affect the product's performance.
  • Return request after 7 days — Requests raised more than 7 calendar days after the confirmed delivery date.
  • Customised or special-order products — Products that were manufactured or procured specifically to a buyer's custom specification.

4. Return Process

  1. Raise a Return Request
    Contact our support team within 7 days of delivery at support@vehiclecharger.co.in or via WhatsApp at +91-7827612742. Quote your Order ID and the reason for return.
  2. Submit Evidence
    Upload clear photographs or a short video (under 3 minutes) showing: (a) the outer packaging and shipping label, (b) the product and its defect or mismatch, and (c) the product's serial number sticker.
  3. Review & Approval
    Our team will review your request and evidence within 48 business hours. We may also reach out to the seller for their response. You will receive an email confirming approval or rejection with reasons.
  4. Return Pickup or Drop-off
    If approved, the seller will arrange reverse logistics at no cost to you (for eligible claims). In some cases, you may be asked to drop the product at a designated courier point. Ensure the product is securely repacked in its original packaging.
  5. Inspection at Seller
    Once the returned product is received by the seller, it will be inspected within 3–5 business days. The refund or replacement will be initiated upon successful inspection.

5. Refunds

Upon successful return inspection, refunds will be processed as follows:

GST and applicable taxes are refunded in full for eligible returns. Shipping charges paid at the time of purchase are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error or the seller's error.

Refund timelines are subject to banking and payment gateway processing periods. VehicleCharger.co.in is not responsible for delays caused by third-party financial institutions.

6. Replacements

Where the same product is available in stock with the same seller, we will offer a free replacement as the primary resolution for eligible return claims. A replacement will be dispatched once the original product is collected from you or confirmed as defective.

If the product is out of stock or the seller is unable to fulfil a replacement within 10 business days, a full refund will be issued automatically.

7. Products Damaged in Transit

For products that appear damaged on delivery, we strongly recommend the following:

  • Do not accept visibly damaged parcels without noting the damage on the courier's delivery receipt / POD (Proof of Delivery). Write "Received with damage" and describe the visible damage.
  • Record an unboxing video before opening any parcel, especially for high-value items. This video serves as primary evidence for transit damage claims.
  • Report the damage to us within 24 hours of delivery for transit damage claims. Late reporting may result in the claim being declined.

Transit damage is covered under our shipping insurance for eligible orders. We will coordinate with the seller and logistics partner to resolve your claim at no additional cost.

8. Bulk & Commercial Orders

For orders of 5 or more units of the same product (bulk/commercial orders), the following additional terms apply:

  • A sample inspection of up to 10% of the delivered quantity (minimum 1 unit) must be completed within 3 business days of delivery. Defects discovered during sample inspection allow return of the entire batch.
  • Full-batch returns due to defects in sample must be reported within the 7-day window.
  • Partial returns (returning specific units from a bulk order) are accepted for units individually identified as defective, with photographic evidence for each unit.
  • For custom/OEM orders placed directly through sellers with specific customisation requirements, return terms are governed by the purchase order or written agreement between buyer and seller.

9. Dispute Resolution

If you are not satisfied with our return decision, you may escalate the dispute to our Grievance Officer within 14 days of our decision:

We will attempt to resolve all disputes amicably. Unresolved disputes shall be subject to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, with the seat of arbitration in Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh. Consumers retain rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 to approach the appropriate consumer forum.
