Shipping Policy

VehicleCharger.co.in is a B2B/B2C marketplace. Shipping is arranged by the individual Seller for each order. This policy sets out the minimum standards all Sellers must meet and your rights as a Buyer.

1. Overview

VehicleCharger.co.in connects buyers with verified EV charger sellers across India. The physical delivery of products is managed by the Seller using their preferred logistics partners. VehicleCharger.co.in monitors delivery performance and intervenes in disputes, but is not directly responsible for logistics operations unless expressly stated on the product listing.

All Sellers on the Platform are contractually required to meet the shipping standards set out in this policy under the Seller Agreement.

2. Shipping Scope

Domestic: All Sellers on VehicleCharger.co.in are expected to ship Pan-India — to all states and union territories in India, including J&K, the North East, and island territories, unless a specific geographic limitation is stated on the product listing.

International: VehicleCharger.co.in currently facilitates sales only within India. International shipping is not available through the Platform. Buyers outside India may contact Sellers directly for custom export arrangements, which are governed solely by the buyer-seller agreement and not by this policy.

Remote Areas: Delivery to certain PIN codes in remote or restricted areas may incur additional charges and extended timelines. Any such conditions will be communicated by the Seller at the time of order confirmation.

Timelines are estimates. Actual delivery may vary due to logistics partner capacity, public holidays, weather disruptions, or force majeure events. Business days exclude Sundays and public holidays.

Heavy Equipment: EV chargers are heavy/bulky items. For DC fast chargers (>20 kg), delivery may require a pre-scheduled appointment and ground-floor delivery only. Sellers will coordinate with buyers for heavy shipments.

4. Shipping Charges

Shipping charges (if any) are set by individual Sellers and displayed on the product listing and during checkout. Common models include:

  • Free Shipping: Some Sellers offer free Pan-India delivery, especially for bulk or high-value orders. This will be clearly marked on the listing.
  • Flat Rate: A fixed shipping charge regardless of order value, shown at checkout.
  • Weight / Distance Based: Charges calculated based on product weight and delivery PIN code. This is more common for heavy DC chargers.
  • Negotiated (Bulk Orders): For orders of 5+ units, shipping terms are typically negotiated directly with the Seller.

All shipping charges are exclusive of GST unless stated otherwise. GST on shipping (freight) is typically charged at 5% or 12% depending on the logistics service.

Important: Shipping charges paid at the time of order are non-refundable in cases where the return is initiated due to buyer's change of mind. For eligible return claims (defective, wrong product), reverse shipping is arranged and borne by the Seller.

5. Order Tracking

Once your order is dispatched, the Seller is required to share the following within 24 hours of dispatch:

  • Name of the logistics/courier partner
  • Tracking number / Airway Bill (AWB) number
  • Link to the carrier's tracking portal

Tracking updates will be communicated via email to your registered email address and will also be visible in your account's order history (once order management is enabled on the Platform).

Common logistics partners used by Sellers on VehicleCharger.co.in include: Blue Dart, Delhivery, DTDC, FedEx India, Xpressbees, Ecom Express, and India Post for select PIN codes.

6. Packaging Standards

All Sellers are required to ship products in a manner that protects against transit damage. Minimum packaging requirements include:

  • Original manufacturer packaging must be kept intact and undamaged. The product must be shipped in its original box.
  • Outer protective layer: The original box must be placed inside a corrugated outer box with appropriate padding (bubble wrap, foam inserts, or packaging peanuts) to absorb shocks.
  • Fragile / Tilt indicators for products with delicate electronics or liquid-cooled components.
  • Tamper-evident sealing on all outer cartons.
  • Invoice and documentation must be included inside the package (GST invoice, warranty card, user manual).

Sellers who consistently receive transit damage complaints due to inadequate packaging will have their listings reviewed and may be suspended.

7. Transit Damage

EV chargers are electronic equipment and can be damaged during transit if mishandled. We strongly recommend the following upon delivery:

  1. Inspect before signing: Before signing the courier's Proof of Delivery (POD), visually inspect the outer packaging for dents, tears, wet patches, or crushing. If damage is visible, note it on the POD as "Received with damage" before accepting.
  2. Record an unboxing video: Record a continuous video of you opening the package — from the outside in. This is the most effective evidence for transit damage claims.
  3. Report within 24 hours: Notify us at support@vehiclecharger.co.in or via WhatsApp at +91-7827612742 within 24 hours of delivery with your Order ID and video/photos.

Transit damage claims reported after 24 hours may not be accepted, as they cannot be reliably attributed to shipping.

Approved transit damage claims result in a free replacement or full refund, with reverse logistics coordinated by VehicleCharger.co.in or the Seller at no cost to you.

8. Failed Delivery & Returned Shipments

Failed delivery attempts: Most courier partners attempt delivery 2–3 times before returning the shipment. Ensure your shipping address is correct and that someone is available to receive during business hours. After failed attempts, the package may be held at the nearest courier facility for 5–7 days before being returned to the Seller.

Incorrect address: If a shipment is undeliverable or returned to the Seller due to an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the Buyer, the Buyer is responsible for any re-shipping charges.

Refused delivery: If you refuse delivery without a valid reason (e.g., not due to visible damage), the return shipping cost will be deducted from any applicable refund.

Re-shipment: If you wish to have a returned shipment re-dispatched, please contact us within 7 days of the returned shipment notification. Re-dispatch shipping charges (if applicable) will be payable before dispatch.

9. Bulk & Commercial Orders

For bulk orders of 5 or more units, or for commercial/institutional buyers (EV charging station operators, fleet operators, housing societies, corporate campuses):

  • Delivery terms, including timeline, freight charges, and insurance, are negotiated directly with the Seller before order confirmation.
  • For very large shipments (10+ units, gross weight >500 kg), freight-on-road (LCL/FTL) with a dedicated logistics provider may be arranged by the Seller.
  • A physical inspection at the delivery site may be arranged for high-value commercial installations. Buyers are advised to have their electrician or project manager present during delivery of DC fast chargers.
  • Proof of Delivery (POD) for bulk orders must be signed by an authorised representative of the buying organisation.
